Lethbridge radio stations Country 95 and B93 relocated their shared broadcasting studio and offices into the second floor of an existing downtown building. Pattison Media selected SAinc to reconfigure the new space due to our experience in acoustic work, as sound isolation was critical for the station. Our biggest priority was creating acoustically isolated spaces for the broadcast rooms and recording studios through room shape and control of reflective surfaces. To enable a smooth transition from the existing location to the new space while keeping the stations on air, we had to ensure the construction was efficient. By retaining as much of the existing layout as possible, our design ensured the renovation resulted in little demolition and a successful transition. Interiors were fashioned to create a sense of movement in patterns and colours that integrated with station branding.
