Readymade Community Centre built its new facility largely with volunteer labour. Through successful fundraising and programming, it was well on its way to paying off the work. Only one thing stood in the way of their feeling the building was a complete success: the noise. Whether 3 people or 300, the main open space and smaller conference rooms were too reverberant; it was hard to carry on a conversation. Through a mixture of acoustic treatments including diffusers and sound traps, SAinc was able to vastly improve the sound attenuation of the spaces which increased the enjoyment and productivity of the community centre rooms.
